How to Measure Closing Forces on Windows and Sun-Roofs
Lake Orion, MI - Power actuated windows, doors, lift gates and sunroofs on today’s vehicles have created the potential for being trapped or pinched as these mechanisms open and close. Our standard sensor was designed to mount on the vehicle window glass and monitor the ‘auto-up’ feature. This hands free package features selectable spring rates and obstacle distances, allowing one sensor to measure multiple applications.
Other standard sensor offerings include our hand held force sensors. Each are designed to a specific obstacle distance and spring rate (per FMVSS118 and Directive 74/60/EEC). Perform quick spot checks in the field or factory floor to insure your anti-trap system is operating within guidelines. Another unique sensor package incorporates the hands free sensor to be used for measuring the closing forces of powered and roof vents.
