| New sensor measures forces in wind tunnel. |
Lake Orion, MI - Sensor Developments Inc. has designed and manufactured a sensor to measure forces and moments around all three axes for wind tunnel testing applications. Originally designed for an application at a major university, this sensor meets strict parameters that make it ideal for any wind tunnel testing. The original design is for 22.5 lbs. forces and 44 in. lbs. moments on each axis, with all forces and moments being overload protected. This sensor fits into a package six inches long and one inch in diameter. The model 77011 can be designed for other capacities while still retaining the mechanical protection from damage due to overloading. For more information on this multi-component sensor, please call one of our application sales engineers toll free at 888-SENSOR-1 or 248-391-3000. SDI was formed as an engineering consulting firm in 1976 and has evolved into a designer and manufacturer of force and torque sensors, systems, and associated data acquisition equipment. |
