Press ReleaseSteel Inserts make aluminum head stronger, more durable in NEW - Weld Probe Force Gage.
Lake Orion, MI  Sensor Developments Inc. has improved its Weld Probe Force Gage (Model 90061). It is now available with reinforced steel inserts placed in the aluminum head. The inserts make the weld probe more durable than ever before, yet still light and electrically insulated for "current on" force measurements. The head rotates for optimum accessibility. It has single button operation and an optional two piece construction.

90061 is used with resistance spot welders to ensure quality welds, which are accurate and repeatable. Capacities range from 300 to 10,000 lbs. with the overload capacity at 150% of Full Scale. The analog output is 0 to 1 V dc.

Weld Probe features:

The weld probe model 90061 is a self contained, portable measurement system which allows auditing of the pinch force generated between the electrodes of resistance spot welders. Resistance welding uses a pair of electrodes to clamp two base metals firmly together prior to and during application of electrical current. Poorly clamped parts result in a defective joint. A correctly clamped assembly aids in reducing the resistance in the joint and allows the current to properly heat the base metals to weld the part.
