Lake Orion, MI – Sensor Developments Inc. has developed the PMAC 2000 (Portable Process Monitor And Control Instrument ) for Quality Control and Process engineers. It is compatible with SDI's Auto-ID transducers for quick and easy calibration when moving from transducer to transducer. It is also directly useable with any other strain gage based transducer. Some other capabilities include: collecting peak readings, custom applications utilizing strain gage based sensors, and studying the force-time curves of a processes using force, torque, and pressure sensors.

PMAC 2000, version 7.2, now has software for direct computer interfacing. This software enables users to program the PMAC v7.0 using a standard PC. This same program will allow uploading of captured data to the PC in standard application formats (Excel, etc.) Data can then be viewed, graphed, and printed. Software is available to provide support for transducers with and without quadrature encoders. With the encoder option and sensor models 01224 or 01225, measurement of R.P.M. & torque or angle & torque is possible.
