Lake Orion, MI - Oakland Community College (OCC) created a "Wall of Honor" to show gratitude for companies that are helping them reach their goal of $8 million in contributions by the year 2000. Sensor Developments Inc. was a contributing company.

OCC Chancellor, Richard Thompson, said they have currently raised $4 million toward their goal. He also said, "OCC is one of the most advanced tech centers in the nation." A ceremony was organized on March 5 to unveil the wall and to personally thank companies for their donations of equipment and money ranging in value from $10,000 to $1.8 million.

Dr. Diann Schindler, President of OCC said, "This is a great opportunity for government, business, and industry to work together with education for economic development in the service industry." With that in mind, Sensor Developments donated strain gage based LON boards to OCC. The LON boards provide a basis for low-cost process monitoring and control systems.
