NON-CONTACTING TORQUE/THRUST SENSOR |
Lake Orion, MI Sensor
Developments Inc. has customized it's standard model 01251 infrared rotating torque sensor
to meet a new dual channel application. ![]() The new sensor was designed for monitoring the torque and thrust load of a drive shaft tested in a dynamometer. It features true non-contacting torque and thrust measurement. No bearings or slip rings are used. The sensor is inductively powered via a rotating transformer and both torque and thrust signals are digitized and sent via infrared light pulses back to a stationary optical receiver. The signals are then filtered and converted back to high level analog outputs. Various torque ranges, flange and mounting configurations can be accomodated with our custom engineering capabilities. |
