Lake Orion, MI –  Sensor Developments is pleased to announce a new bench-top dynamometer system including a rotating torque sensor with integrated optical encoder and a multi-function instrument for reading out torque, speed, and horsepower. The system is based on Sensor Developments highly successful lines of rotary torque sensors with slip rings and optical encoders. To this has been added the latest of our popular Peak Track Instruments (PTI). AutoID enables the PTI to detect the sensor and encoder calibration, units, and pulses per revolution for the simplest possible set-up of torque and horsepower testing. The PTI is a plug and play, one button, user-friendly instrument that allows the user to concentrate on the testing and data rather than the instrumentation.

System Features Include: Rugged rotary torque sensors with capacities from in-oz to thousands of ft-lb. Plug and play, single button, user-friendly instrument. Tracking and instantaneous readout of torque and rpm. Detecting and holding peak torque and horsepower values. Automatic display of peak values and rpm at which they occurred. AutoID eliminates having to enter calibration constants. Calibration data is programmed into the sensor itself. The calibration is always up to date, accurate, and totally convenient. AC powered or long-life battery powered with auto shut off. Supplied with an ISO – 17025 accredited torque calibration.
